Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) care for underserved populations. All RHCs, by definition, serve low income patients in areas that have a shortage of medical services. It is a big responsibility as these patients tend to be sicker and more medically in need than average.
CARHC is an association of RHCs in California. California RHCs provide millions of health care visits to hundreds of thousands of California residents in medically underserved rural communities each year. CARHC improves the care of these patients through education and outreach to and support of their RHCs.
