Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) care for underserved populations. All RHCs are, by definition, serving lowincome patients in areas that have a shortage of medical services. It is a big responsibility as these patients tend to be sicker and more medically in need than average.
California Association of Rural Health Clinics (CARHC) is an association of RHCs in California. California RHCs provide millions of health care visits to hundreds of thousands of California residents in medically underserved rural communities each year. CARHC improves the care of these patients through education and outreach to and support of their RHCs.
Mission: To ensure that Rural Health Clinics can continue to provide high quality, cost-effective services to residents and visitors in their local communities.
